Get Ready for PANDAS

We got up ridiculously early to  be sure to be at the hostel by 7 am.  We picked up a few snacks at a 24 hour market and headed over through a darkened city.  There were a few cars on the road, and strangely, lots of scooters without headlights on.  This made walking the pedestrian walkways a little uneasy.  Scooters don't make a lot of noise, so they can sneak up on you!

We meet our driver and guide and off we go to pick up 4 other people.  Gordon and 2 other Chinese girls who did not interact with us at all, and lastly Ed.

The pandas were very active as it was early in the morning.  At first, I thought, oh, I'd better get a good shot of this guy....may be the only one I see all day, nope, there were tons of them around.

Now Red Pandas, which are related to raccoons, not to bears!

 Black swan and cygnet

 Goose
Dinner...who knew there was good BBQ in Chengdu, Marty, that's who!
